Harbour
A live dashboard for tracking container movements across three ports, built to be read at a glance on a wall screen.
The problem
Operators needed to spot delays in seconds, from across a room.
Approach
- Designed for distance first: large type, few colours, one alert style.
- Streamed updates from a Go service instead of polling.
- Tested on the actual wall screens before writing any final styles.
Outcome
Delays are now noticed when they happen rather than at the end of a shift.
